JULIUS AND ANGELICA SUPPORT FOR CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES(JASCWD)

A major reason why JASCWD was established/founded is to support children with different kinds of disabilities. This was due to conviction the founders were fully and consciously aware of; problems, psycho-social stigma and discrimination against, distressed, needy and neglected, vulnerable and social-economic inequalities hence severe poverty affecting children with disabilities and their families in the societies and communities where they live in Uganda.

Protection of Rights of Children with Disabilities

Every child deserves safety, respect, and equal opportunities including children with disabilities. Protecting their rights means ensuring they can learn, play, speak up, and grow in environments free from discrimination, neglect, and abuse. Let’s promote inclusion in our schools, listen to their voices, and create communities where every child is valued and supported. When we protect the rights of children with disabilities, we build a kinder and fairer society for all. 💙

Enhanced capacity of schools

Enhanced capacity of schools to implement inclusive co-curricular activities that actively engage children with disabilities, and strengthened capacity of community and local government structures to mainstream disability in planning and resource allocation, leading to positive changes in attitudes toward reporting and handling cases of abuse involving children with disabilities.

Community Based Structures

Community based structures that demand for improved care services for children with disabilites have been put in place such as a support system that enables JASCWD receive corrective interventions and also Parents have basic skills on home based care for children with disabilities.

With a deep passion for innovation and problem-solving, he has contributed to various technology-driven initiatives, focusing on building reliable, efficient, and secure solutions that benefit children with disabilities.
