JASCWD is an Indigenous/National Non-Profit, Non-Governmental Organisation legally registered with the Government of Uganda under the National Bureau for Non-Governmental Organisations, Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The organisation was founded out of a deep conviction and awareness of the serious challenges facing children with disabilities — including psycho-social stigma, discrimination, neglect, vulnerability, social and economic inequalities, and severe poverty affecting both the children and their families within communities across Uganda.
Supporting children with disabilities and their families through empowerment initiatives that improve livelihoods and self-reliance.
Advocating against stigma and discrimination while promoting equality and protection of the rights of children with disabilities.
Promoting access to healthcare, education, and social support systems to ensure children live improved and quality lives and reach their full potential.
